Families can be together forever!: Frog legs

Everything I love about newborn Clay:

Frog legs. Chubby cheeks. The way he curls his body into a little C shape and tucks his legs against his tummy. Feeding him. How calm he is in the bath. How he closes his eyes and slowly falls asleep. Tiny, chubby feet. Tiny, chubby fingers. So cuddly. Great burper. Newborn noises, the grunts and gurgles. Newborn cry. Talking to him. Singing to him. Watching the kids play with him. How he watches my face carefully when we're snuggling.

He's getting so big--already 9 1/2 pounds! Woke up only twice in 11 hours last night, that's pretty good for my babies. He's a calm little guy--he likes to go outside, he likes to take baths, he likes to "dance" with me when I put on music, he likes the noise the vacuum makes too.

I'm loving everything about him!

Clay was jumping from tile to tile in our kitchen, then kind of spinning on each tile, careful to stay within the square shape of each tile. I asked, "What are you doing?" and Clay responded, "I'm square dancing!"

We were walking into Wells Fargo when Paige saw a man with shoulder length hair and a beard getting into his car. I was holding Paige and she grabbed my face and turns my head toward the man. Then she says, "Mom, there's Jesus!" (November 2016)

Paige: "I look like nursery!" She said this as she looked at herself in the mirror after I got her dressed for church and had just finished doing her hair. (March 2017)

In school Miles was learning about the Great Depression. He was talking on and on about it to me and started talking about Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt. He was trying to tell me about the president known as FDR (Roosevelt) but instead he kept saying, "KFC" I couldn't figure out what he meant until he said, "You know, he was president after Hoover, everybody called him KFC". I had to explain he was actually known as FDR! (October 2017)
