June 19, 2011 Clay's baby blessing

Clay was blessed this last Sunday, Father's Day. It was great to see Joey, our dads, and many of Clay's uncles surround him and bless him using the priesthood. His great grandma (my Grandma Jones) sent this blessing outfit for him and my grandma's best friend (Judy) made this blanket for him.

As usual, family attended and supported us. (Joey and I are lucky to have the family we have!)

Amber, my older sister, is on leave from active duty Navy for about six weeks before she gets back on
her ship and is gone until next year. She and Derek and their kids came out to see us and be here for the blessing. I think this picture of them is pretty cute!

We're trying to build an eternal family...

I'm grateful to have another little child come to our home! I'm grateful that we have the chance to raise our kids in the gospel!

Clay was jumping from tile to tile in our kitchen, then kind of spinning on each tile, careful to stay within the square shape of each tile. I asked, "What are you doing?" and Clay responded, "I'm square dancing!"

Clay, said every time he prays: "Help us to be like the Gospel."

Clay, said another time he prayed for each person in our family that they could "do good" in either school or work when he got to me he said: "...Please bless mom that she can go to the gym." I guess that sticks out to him!

We were walking into Wells Fargo when Paige saw a man with shoulder length hair and a beard getting into his car. I was holding Paige and she grabbed my face and turns my head toward the man. Then she says, "Mom, there's Jesus!" (November 2016)

Paige: "I look like nursery!" She said this as she looked at herself in the mirror after I got her dressed for church and had just finished doing her hair. (March 2017)

In school Miles was learning about the Great Depression. He was talking on and on about it to me and started talking about Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt. He was trying to tell me about the president known as FDR (Roosevelt) but instead he kept saying, "KFC" I couldn't figure out what he meant until he said, "You know, he was president after Hoover, everybody called him KFC". I had to explain he was actually known as FDR! (October 2017)
