Unlike Marana, the kids are permitted to wear their costumes to school. They even have a costume parade in the afternoon! Miles went on a field trip to a theater in Orem to see a play on Halloween--he saw "Lambchops."
Hailey had a Halloween party at preschool...
Clay attended a Halloween storytime at the Springville library...
In the afternoon we all went over to Joey's work where there was a little Halloween "party" and trick or treating from desk to desk for the kids. Halloween wasn't just a couple of hours after dinner for us---it was a DAY LONG event this year!
Near the end of the ward trunk or treat I took a good look at Clay-- he had red sticky lips and a snotty nose and his monkey costume was covered in chili and that same red mystery sticky substance probably made from part drool, part lollipop. To top it off he was at that moment picking skittles out of the crack in the sidewalk and sticking them in his mouth.
That's when we decided it was time to go home.
It was a good, sticky, Halloween :).
| See? He really loved the chili and a lot even made it into his mouth! |
